HTC EVO 4G makes QR code-scanning cameo in Lupe Fiasco music video

Last week, rapper Lupe Fiasco debuted the music video for his newly released single "Words I Never Said." The track comes from his new album Lasers, which he's actually been promoting using QR codes.

And guess which Android phone is being used to scan the code (shown below) at the end of the video. Yep. None other than the Sprint app-laden HTC EVO 4G, unbranded yet still recognizable by its protruding power button, earpiece, volume buttons, and general EVO-ness.

The barcode scanning app being used in the video is RedLaser, which is also available on iOS (it may have been launched in the App Store first).

So not only is the nearly year-old EVO still making appearances in the media today, but it landed the role that could've been played by an iPhone too. And that's always nice to see.

If you're not a Lupe Fiasco fan, fast-forward to around the 5:30 mark in the video to see the EVO.

Thanks, Kevin!
