MSI unveils WindPad Enjoy 7-inch Gingerbread tablet

MSI Enjoy 7

Computex is in full swing now and MSI has shown up with a pre-production model of a 7-inch tablet known as the WindPad Enjoy 7.

It's running Gingerbread and sports an 800 x 480 resolution multi-touch display. Embedded EverNote for cloud data syncing, a 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 (single core) processor, and MSI Smart Media Link are part of the device as well. This should be able to handle 1080p HD playback and record 720p videos with one of the dual 2 megapixels cameras.

Sadly, there will be no Android Market, coming with its own AppLibs instead. This is common practice on lower-priced tablets and an .apk to get the official Market shouldn't be hard to find, but it could still be a dealbreaker for some. There's no price point for the Enjoy 7 yet, but if its bigger bother (the Enjoy 10) is priced at $299, maybe we could be looking at around $199. Mass production is expected to start in July, with consumer availability to follow soon after.
