Unlocked Dell Streak now selling for $399.99, black and red available

Unlocked-dell-streak-399 Although unlocking the Dell Streak is really quite easy these days, those who want to be able to use the pocket tablet with a different carrier immediately after taking it out of the box would probably prefer that the device was unlocked to be begin with.

Unlocked phones are often exorbitantly priced, so it's refreshing to see that the unlocked Streak can be had for just $399.99 right now when purchased from Dell Business. It's still $449.99 at Dell Home.

In addition to the $50 savings, buying from the business area of the site gives you a choice of color (red or black) too.

Son of a bitch, I literally bought the Red one from the official Dell site on eBay for $449.99 three days ago to replace my scratched up black one…

In case you didn’t notice, you have to click the “Looking for a Red Streak 5?” button.

  • I wonder if Dell is getting out of the mobile business then.. No product refresh.. no update.. no communication.. Just one big f’n black hole..

  • That’s Dell marketing. The Venue (Android 2.2) and Venue Pro (WP7) are still out there too, but they seem to have spent all their resourcess on the Streak 7 recently. Haven’t seen anything new about the Opus One since the original mention last November, but hopefully that is still alive. That device will probably be delayed until Dell can move through their initial contractual obligation with their ODM.

Really? Like if you drop it or just from regular use? Do they cover this under the warranty?

    What a bummer, it’s so sexy looking…
