Rejection: Microsoft says no to Windows Phone 7 Mango on tablets

500x_tablet1

No! It can't be! Microsoft totally just denied its partners the right to throw Windows Phone 7 Mango (or any version of WP7, for that matter) on tablets. The company has said it before, but they just had to reiterate, and it's just causing everyone more pain, all over again.

This means that we will have to wait for Windows 8 for some pretty awesome tablets that will be coming from Redmond and company. Of course, I'm pretty sure all of us can  definitely wait; I mean, our MIDs may be coming back!

They're probably not going to be in as many varieties as they once were, but it's still a good possiblity that we'll see some (new) old favorites when Windows 8 comes out next year.
