Huawei MediaPad to ship in US by year's end

Huawei-mediapadlead

Back in late June, Huawei announced its 7-inch MediaPad tablet. The company stated that the Android 3.2 device would be released sometime in the fall, and now, it's told us that the MediaPad will reach US shores by the end of 2011.

It will start shipping next month in Malaysia, and, like previously stated, in the US later this year. But why should you wait for this Huawei tablet? Well, it's going to have some pretty killer specs. A 1.2GHz dual-core processor will help to drive the high-resolution, 7-inch display, and there will be front- and rear-facing cameras, with which you can take pictures to store on the 8GB of internal storage.

Will you be picking up the MediaPad? It looks pretty cool, and really, the only thing I can think of that might be a bit of a problem is the price: it will be around $500.
