Air Penguin brings fun tilt-control gaming to HTC EVO
Air Penguin is a fun-filled and challenging game that was recently brought over from iOS to Android. The goal is to help Air Penguin rescue his family from melting ice caps by jumping across chunks of floating icebergs to reach them. Instead of using touch-style based controls, you use the tilt sensors in the HTC EVO and countless other Android phones to help navigate him front, back, left, and right.
The game has 125 campaign levels in story mode and a survival mode to test your motor skills. Jumping from iceberg to iceberg sound too easy? Well, along the way you'll faced several obstacles that require accuracy, speed, and finesse. You'll have to jump, dodge, slide, or bounce past hungry sharks, crabby crabs, ink-squirting squids, flying swordfish, and bouncy sea lions to reach the end of each stage and ultimately help our hero save his family. Collecting fish that look like goldfish crackers earn you extra points that you can redeem for special features.
Air Penguin is simple and fun, challenging and addicting. I keep telling myself, "Just one more level" over and over again. Give it a try and let us know what you think. I think you just might have a hard time putting it down.
The game is free in the Android Market and although it is ad-supported, ads appear only at game start-up and not during play so there are no annoying ads to block your view.
