T-Mobile joins hands with Walmart for off-contract 4G, as a last hurrah

Tmobile_walmart T-Mobile may want to be acquired by AT&T, but that doesn't mean the carrier doesn't want to make as much money as possible before its final days are up

In its latest effort to gobble up some extra cash before the merger, T-Mobile has partnered up with Walmart to bring a pretty amazing, off-contract plan for only $30 per month. The offer will give you "unlimited" web (up to 5GB on 3G and 4G, unfortunately, with 2G data being unlimited after hitting that cap) and truly unlimited text, as well as 100 minutes of talk time.

Although I don't have a T-Mobile 4G device, I think this is an incredible offer. $500 for an unlocked phone at only $30 per month with the ability to cancel at any time is still a huge money saver. If Walmart can market this correctly, it'll probably be T-Mobile's biggest (and last) huge break.
