Nokia Lumia line of phones to receive Windows Phone 8?

Lumia_wp8

I know what you're thinking, and I agree: this Windows Phone 7 to Windows Phone 8 upgrade scandal has gotten way out of hand. I still hold my belief that all current Windows Phones will be updated to Apollo, and Nokia evangelist João Luis seems to think that such a thing will happen with (at least) the Lumia line of smartphones.

Today, Luis sent out a group of tweets regarding Windows Phone 8 on Lumia phones. According to "a confidential insider source that [he trusts] 200%," the Lumia 610, 710, 800, and 900 will all be running Apollo when the operating system is ready to be released.

There have been a few other rumors unleashed on the web today that state Nokia devices will receive Apollo, as well, so hopefully this means other manufacturers' devices will be able to run the latest software come fall.

Again, we'll just have to wait for several months to see what happens, but at least there's a little bit of hope.
