Good and EVO

Amazon Wireless is also taking preorders for the HTC EVO 4G LTE

Although this news is now slightly dated (give me a break; I've been answering your questions all weekend), you should know that Amazon Wireless is also taking preorders for the HTC EVO 4G LTE. Amazon is asking only $149.99 for the phone (new lines and eligible upgrades only), and it comes with Amazon's standard perks: free two-day shipping, no sales tax in most states, and Amazon's "Best Price Guarantee."

Additionally, Amazon is waiving the $36 activation fee for new lines only.

Currently, Amazon lists the device as backordered, so it's unclear whether all available units in the first batch have already been reserved, or whether this is the status for all EVO 4G LTE preorders. It's also unclear whether Amazon intends to deliver the device by May 18, or within two business day after May 18 (that could be as late as May 22 due  to the weekend).

Personally, I ordered my EVO 3D through Amazon a little under a year ago, and the entire process went very smoothly. Let's hope Amazon keeps it up this time.
