Get $100 from Sprint when you add a line between now and 8/26

sprint - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereRecently, after signing in to my Sprint account, I noticed a little message in my Info Center: between now and August 26, Sprint is giving a $100 American Express gift card to anyone who adds a smartphone line to their account between now and August 26. Additionally, Sprint will waive the $36 activation fee.

This makes it a great time to add an HTC EVO 4G LTE to your family plan if you’ve been considering doing this, and it’s an even better deal than what Amazon Wireless is offering right now: Amazon’s current asking price for the latest EVO is $129.99 if you’re adding a new line. Sprint charges $199.99, but after the $100 gift card, you’ll only end up paying $99.99, saving you $30.

Amazon Wireless does boast a  “Best Price Guarantee,” but it’s unlikely they’ll price match a deal like this, since it involves gift cards instead of instant discounts. On the other hand, there’s no harm in calling Amazon and asking – especially since Amazon is also offering to waive the Sprint activation fee at the moment.

If you decide to try an Amazon price match, let us know what kind of luck you have. Otherwise, be sure to get in on this Sprint deal while it lasts: there’s less than two weeks left!
