International HTC One S updated to 2.31.401.5, Android 4.0.4, Sense 4.1

one s 2.31 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Those of you with an international version of the HTC One S should hit that update button right away! That’s because the device is currently being upgraded to 2.31.401.5, and along with that, the core Android OS is getting updated to 4.0.4, and the Sense UI is being bumped to 4.1

This update is almost identical to the one that the HTC One X just received. Some improvements include the addition of Quick Settings in the drop down menu, even less bloat in this version of Sense, speed improvements to the camera app, the ability to remap the multitasking button, EA’s Gamebox hub, and what looks like a remote diagnostics tool.

It comes in at 157MB, and while it looks like German and Dutch users are among the first to receive this update, it should be available to the rest of the world shortly. Of course, T-Mobile will have to examine it here in the US before it’s approved for its customers, but that hopefully shouldn’t take too long.

The normal warnings for rooted users still apply, so if you are rooted, it’s probably best to wait until your favorite developers releases a safe version for you to flash. Otherwise, you can download the update as soon as it shows up for you.
