Team Win Recovery Project 2.3.3.0 released for most of the HTC EVO line

roottools1 - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereTeam Win’s custom recovery has been updated to 2.3.3.0 for the HTC EVO 4G LTE, EVO 3D (CDMA and GSM versions), the EVO Shift 4G, and the original EVO 4G. It fixes some of the of the bugs present in the past couple of releases, along with adding some new features for Android 4.2, which we don’t have quite yet have unless I’ve missed something (we’re at 4.1.1 on the EVO 4G LTE).

While the release is nothing particularly revolutionary for the EVO crowd at the moment, when multi-user Jelly Bean ROMs start flowing, the enhancements will be useful.

One of the bug fixes involves deleting backups with spaces in the name, and another fixes the handling of MTD partitions during mount. The developers have also changed how the keyboard works in the past couple of versions. You can read the complete change log on TWRP’s dev thread.

One of the things not listed is that the recovery appears to boot significantly faster than it used to. Backups appear to take the same amount of time, but the long delay in starting the recovery that many people have complained about seems to be gone. (Either that, or I haven’t had enough caffeine today.)

You can download the image from the site below, or grab Goo Manager from the Play Store and choose to install OpenRecoveryScript from the application, as long as you’re at least HTC unlocked.
