ASUS rep allegedly leaks specs for the refreshed Nexus 7
According to screenshots of an alleged online chat with a rep from ASUS, a refreshed Nexus 7 will be released by the end of July, although it’s important to remember that there is no way to verify the authenticity of the chat transcript. Originally posted on Google+, these images reveal the following specs about this upcoming Nexus 7:

- 4000mAh battery
- Wifi a/b/g/n

The full chat appears below.
These specs do jive with previous rumors and speculation about the currently unannounced tablet, although you should take all of this with a massive grain of salt. It does seem odd that an ASUS rep would be so willing to reveal these details about an unannounced product, although it’s certainly not beyond the realm of possibility. It is also suspicious that the rep cites the end of July as the end of the second quarter, when that should really be the end of June (which has already come and gone with no new tablet).
What do you think about this rumor? Or – perhaps more importantly – does this sound like a tablet you’d buy if Google and ASUS can keep the price down?
