16GB white Nexus 7 spotted at Best Buy

White Nexus 7 Best Buy

Although the 2013 Google Nexus 7 by ASUS has been available in white for some time now, it’s only been available in one variant: the WiFi-only 32GB kind. However, it looks like that might be set to change soon, as Android Police spotted a 16GB WiFi-only white Nexus 7 on Best Buy’s website, even if it was pulled shortly after.

While there is no guarantee that a 16GB white Nexus 7 will actually ever make it to store shelves, it looks promising: we now have a SKU (3163004) and a model number (NEXUS7 ASUS-2B16-WH ). It’s also becoming increasingly common for someone to pull the trigger early on websites, before a product is officially announced (anyone remember how the Google Nexus 5 by LG showed up in the Play Store – and stayed for a good thirty minutes – a couple days before it was unveiled by Google?).

While I’d personally like a white 32GB LTE Nexus 7, to match my white Nexus 5, it’s still nice to see this color option coming to the lower end of the Nexus 7 lineup. Afterall, not everyone needs LTE or 32GB.

Will you be buying one of these yourself if and when it becomes official?
