HTC releases its first 2k screen on the HTC One E9 Plus

HTC One E9 Plus

At the end of March, HTC China released full details on the HTC One E9 Plus, or simply the E9+, which is HTC’s first device with a 2K HD screen.

The E9+, which could be released worldwide, will also feature a 5.5-inch screen, Dolby Audio HTC BoomSound front-facing speakers, a 20MP back camera, an Ultrapixel front-facing camera, and a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek CPU to power it all. It’s available in China, and will likely see a wider release very soon.

There is a bit of confusion about the device, though. As Slashgear points out, the detailed spec sheet on HTC’s Chinese site says that the device only has a 1080p screen and a 13MP back camera. However, most likely the spec sheet is accidentally referring to the HTC One E9 – not the One E9 Plus.

The body itself is made of plastic, but that shouldn’t take away too much of the premium feel of the device. It’s initially available in three color options: “meteor grey,” “classic rose gold,” and “gold sepia.”
