Azulle announces new Byte 3
We walked away impressed after reviewing The Access and Byte plus from Azulle. It appears they’re not content to rest on their laurels and are gearing up for back to school. Announced today is a new Byte 3 mini PC and it addresses some of our main issues with the Byte Plus. The microSD card has been moved to a full size SD. A welcome surprise is the addition of a new SATA m.2 slot. In addition to a new Apollo lake cpu offering a higher turbo clock and new graphics capable of handling 4k decoding. This new cpu comes alongside the entirely unexpected addition of socketed memory. Looking at ports we have a superset from last year with the addition of a USB C 3.1 Gen 2 port promising video out and 10Gbps data rates. Prices haven’t been announced but we’re expecting the 4Gb model to come in at 199.99 a small bump over launch pricing for the 4Gb byte 3 but with a massive increase in flexibility. Pre Orders are coming and we will update once they are live and pricing is finalized. The full press release is available below.
Much the same only cheaper

I would love to look at the Beelink products for a proper comparison however they’ve denied requests to do so unfortunately. A quick rundown on the specs shows the byte 3 offering newer technologies(m.2 and usb-c) in addition to more video output options(vga hdmi usb-c) and more upgradability(socketed memory) at the same price for the base model 189.99 for the Beelink(http://amzn.to/2uQ68zP) compared to the 189.99 on azules website for the Byte 3.
All that said the beelink looks like a slimmer unit and i’d love to get my hands on one to test still!
