Fortnite removed from Apple and Google’s app stores

After working to cut out Google and Apple’s revenue share on the Fortnite mobile app, Epic found its’ game Fortnite removed by both Google and Apple on Thursday for violating the developer terms of service.

People searching for Fortnite on Google Play will be presented with pages of apps that sort of look like maybe they were Fortnite but aren’t. Scammer time.

You can still find Fortnite on some third party app stores, but for the moment there are lawsuits flying, you’ll be looking through several third party app stores, some intent on making a buck by pushing malware at you. Good luck with that.

The disputes with Google and Apple appear to be Epic selling in-game-currency through their stores at a lower price than it could be obtained through Play & the App Store. It also cut Apple and Google off from their share of revenue of hosted content.

For now, it appears there may be some download links from Epic on their site that will get you around the Play Store and App Store bans.
