Assistant daylong routines bring much needed automation

If you’ve ever attempted to set a light to color change at certain times, on certain days, it’s been special. They’ve made it a little easer with daylong routines which allow you to build a routine that will execute various actions at different times rather than a series of events at one specific time. Why is that cool? Well, if you’ve got a normal routine where you want music to start, play, change the lights, and blast your butt out of bed but don’t want that on say Labor Day, you only have one thing to disable.

For most, probably not a huge advance in terms of what they can do, but useful for when you just don’t want to be triggering ten or so individual actions and want to slap it into one little container.

Now if they’d just write some better documentation…

Also yes, I’m aware this came out last week – I am indeed late to the party.
