Slow news day, some thoughts

While I’ve got a couple of reviews and a project coming up that will be interesting, at least to me, there doesn’t seem to be a whole lot of interesting out there so I’ve continued my spring cleaning and had some discoveries for the day.

First, if you have a whole lot of Google Home/Nest smart assistants and a YouTube Premium subscription you can get at least eight devices playing different streams. Why yes, I had different jazz streams playing from every device I own.

If you can’t rack mount a UPS, you can put it on top of a rack mounted switch with only weight on the front if you pull it forward a bit. Insanely temp solution I had to rig.

If you’re a tree company, perhaps notifying the neighbor that you’re going to be setting up operations in their front yard before dropping a 200 pound log that exploded shooting shrapnel into their yard might be a good thing.

Kids in the Hall is returning and man I’m old.

There should be a service for people who feel they’re locked in an ecosystem to sell out of the entire ecosystem.

And the instant I had the ability to sit down and write my soon to be 9yo (Sat) hurts herself and I’ve got to go get her…
