Went a good six days on the Pixel 7 Pro before the fingerprint sensor stopped working

Update – may be unrelated, testing now so I’m retracting that this is a Google problem but leaving that I have/had issues until I determine cause

I’ve been pretty impressed with the Pixel 7 Pro… it’s better at human pictures than my S21 Ultra, not as good at zooms, snappier on some things, the voice to text is getting better and I can see it getting better markedly… but it got worse and worse at recognizing my fingerprint to unlock.

I can’t even complete a training on a new fingerprint now… womp womp.

Started getting worse yesterday and asking me for my code, and yeah… there are no training options beyond enrollment and I can now sometimes get a finger to enroll but it usually claims it’s failed.

Screen is clean….

That was a nice six days… I’d say one out of 8 unlocks work with the fingerprint sensor now. The weather has not changed here so I know it’s not the stupid “dry hands” issue that one Google support suggested to someone on Reddit (moisturizer was the suggested fix.)

I’m evidently not the only one
