New option potentially coming hides the fact you paid to produce content for Twitter to sell

Want to pay to use Twitter but worried that people are going to see that blue checkmark and think you’re a tool who is paying a website to let you produce content that they sell advertising around to make more money off of you? Well good news citizen – there’s potentially an option coming to allow you to hide the fact that you’re paying a service to make money off of you.

This would of course be immediately invalidated the instant you used a Twitter Blue feature such as editing a tweet, a past over 280 characters, or post a video that’s past the normal resolution limit. Basically most of the features someone would pay for are going to give you away.

And there still exists no option on Twitter to stop the copious junk advertising, even paying $100 a year won’t stop the onslaught, and there’s no option like Twitter Purple on the horizon as far as we know that will stop Twitter from trying to sell you goat shaving kits while selling your content, user data, and attempting to monetize every interaction with you.

But if hiding your Blue Checkmark shame on Twitter was on your 2023 Bingo card, mark it down.
