Aigo launches Patriot MID P8860, P8880, P8888
I threw a quick blurb about the launch of Aigo’s Patriot MIDs (P8860, P8880, P8888) in the forum before I left the house yesterday, but I’d like to revisit the news with less haste now that I’m back home.
Right on schedule, Aigo made their Asia-only Centrino Atom MIDs official today. UMPC Fever got their hands on the P8860 last week and have been detailing their experiences ever since, so there aren’t many mysteries left to uncover.
Aside from the launch party, the only other noteworthy detail about the 4.8-inch slider today is that the product pages are now listed on the Aigo website. The three models are not accompanied by their prices, but according to a previous news release, the devices will sell for 4999, 6999, and 8888 yuan, which current exchange rates peg at about $728, $1029, and $1295. Exactly what buyers get for the extra cost is unclear, as the only model with full specs on the Aigo site is the P8888.
