Sharp IS01 gets product page, video demos, and more
It may be a very long six months before we'll be able to get our hands on the compact Sharp IS01 Android MID/smartbook that swept many of us off our feet yesterday, but there's definitely no shortage of goodies to keep us occupied while we wait. In addition to a slew of live photos and impressions from K-Tai Watch, Akihabara News, and ASCII.jp, the 5" screened clamshell housing that 1GHz Snapdragon processor has also got its very own product page and a series of YouTube videos by Gigazine showing off its multitouch capabilities, trackball, and camera being used (among other things).
Other new information includes talk and standby times of 310 minutes and 200 hours, respectively, the possibility of an eventual upgrade from Android 1.6, a thumbnail-style task manager, and high quality YouTube support.
You can see all of Gigazine's videos here.
I don't know about you, but I really like what I'm seeing of this little smartbook. Having to cancel the contract with KDDI to get this imported to the US probably won't be cheap, but I think it might be worth it. What do you think?
