T-Mobile calls HTC One S press event for April 18

One-s-press-event

As we get closer and closer to the launch of the HTC One S here in the US, T-Mobile is trying to get the press excited by inviting a select few to a private launch party on Wednesday, April 18. If we are to believe the most recent leaks, the One S will officially be available that following Wednesday, April 25 (that's only two weeks away!).

As we know, the One S is the mid-range phone in HTC's new One Series, which also includes the One X and One V. However, that doesn't mean it won't deliver in the specs department: boasting a 4.3-inch screen, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the latest version of Sense (4.0), it's certainly no slouch.

There's still no official word on when AT&T will be getting the One X, although early indications are pointing to the beginning of May. Sprint's version, dubbed the HTC EVO 4G LTE, will most likely hit store shelves in early June.
