Hurry: Best Buy’s Phone Freedom is back, sign up ends February 9

Best Buy Phone Freedom - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereIn case you missed this promotion last year, Best Buy’s Phone Freedom deal is back, but you’ll have to sign up before February 9. Here’s how it works:

  1. Go to bestbuy.com before Saturday, February 9, and click the link to reserve your free $50 gift card.
  2. Give Best Buy your mobile phone number and email address (don’t worry, you can opt out of spam and notifications).
  3. Upgrade your phone between February 10, 2013 and December 31, 2013 (you’ll have to sign a two-year contract), and automatically get a free $50 gift card. That’s it!

There’s no obligation to actually buy your phone through Best Buy in case you find a better deal somewhere else later on. And if you redeem this offer in the store, you’ll even be able to use the gift card immediately at checkout for your phone. This is truly one of those things that everyone should sign up for, just in case they end up using it, even if they don’t plan on upgrading this year. After all, you never know what the year might bring.

I did this last year, and combined with other in-store offers and a trade-in, I ended up paying absolutely nothing for my HTC EVO 4G LTE. I was definitely very pleased.

But hurry; you’ve only got two more days to sign up.
