Asus Eee PC 8G: 7-inch display, $500 confirmed
The days’ old rumor about a 10-inch Eee PC 8G has just been squelched by Asus through direct communication with both Eee User and UMPCPortal. As originally announced, then, the Eee PC 8G will feature the same 7-inch display set into the same casing as other models.
Even though Asus says they currently have "no plans" (at least none that can be spoken of) for it, there is still some speculation that a 10-inch Eee PC will eventually be released, especially as photos of the 1001 model that was shown alongside the 7 inchers back in June have resurfaced on Engadget.
When released, Asus expects the Eee PC 8G to be priced at just a penny shy of $500.
