BF Evergreen intros 7-inch "low cost laptop" 7010A

Evergreen_7010aExactly how a keyboard-less slate could be billed as a laptop is anyone’s guess, but Hong Kong-based OEM BF Evergreen has recently added a 1.3-pound "low cost laptop" to its catalog. But other than its 7-inch touchscreen (800 x 480), the inspiringly named 7010A actually only has the bells and whistles of an oversized PDA.

This includes Windows CE 5.0, 400MHz Samsung 2440A CPU, 128MB SDRAM, 1GB ROM, SD/MMC card slot, and (brace yourself) a USB 1.1 host port. It’s also got an "internet socket" and supports Pocket Nester, WinCE games, Skype, TCPMP, Windows Media Player, and office documents (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

On a positive note, the stand/dock the 7010A is sitting in looks kind of interesting.

[Who wouldn’t want one?]
