Apple is starting business deals for apps

1 copy - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereMany businesses the world over have been embracing the iPad and what it can do for the productivity of their business. Now, even more may be willing to jump on board the mobile computing scene since Apple has announced its new Volume Purchasing for Businesses. Basically, you can now bulk buy Apps from the App Store and distribute these Apps using coupons you send to your employees. This is great news, as smaller companies can get involved, with the minimum bulk order being at two. Now, tablets can be seen as actual devices to be used for productive work instead of leisure. With reports of pilots using the iPad for its mapping ability and businesses wanting enterprise iPads in the workforce, as well as hospitals ordering 1800 iPads you can begin to see where the demand for this is coming from. It is a step forward not only for Apple, but for mobile computing in general. Although Apple has only announced this for US customers, I can’t see it being too long until other countries get in on the savings.
