Facebook for iPad found inside new version of Facebook for iPhone

fbipad - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Universal iOS apps work by having both iPad and iPhone versions of the same app within the same app. It makes things less confusing and more consumer friendly when one size fits all, but for Facebook it seems that this feature has cost them their element of surprise regarding the new Facebook app for iPad. What seemed to be a tiny update to the iPhone version actually was a lot more than that, containing the code for the iPad version as well. TechCrunch managed to get the hidden iPad app running on an iPad and has posted a lot of photos from the app. It looks very promising and looks to be much more than just a larger version of the iPhone app. Comments seem to be mostly in the “finally” department though as it should not have taken 1.5 years to get this out. Not that it’s out yet either, really, but this leak might give Facebook a reason to speed up the actual update that enables iPads to use the new code.
