Motorola bringing RAZR back, starting with Droid RAZR
By now, the word Droid is synonymous with the word Android. There is so much consumer affiliation with those two similar, yet unlike, terms that oftentimes you'll see even carriers mix them up. But I'm sure this is a fantastic marketing strategy, which is why manufacturers keep on using it.
This time around, it's Motorola's turn to use the name for the popular line, along with another name from another popular line. It's calling this new device the Droid RAZR, a throwback from the old flip-phone that the manufacturer produced a while ago.
All that we know about the RAZR, besides the name and design, is that it will include a 1.5GHz processor. Unfortunately, it will be clocked down to a lesser 1.2GHz, but it should still be incredibly snappy.
I'm incredibly nostalgic, so I love the fact that this will have the word RAZR in it. But I'm even more impressed by the insanely great processor it will have. I can't wait to see this bad boy when it comes out, presumably sometime in the near future.
