Mini-stylus fits in the audio port, perhaps better used for DIY

ministylus - for some reason we don't have an alt tag here

Fresh off the unnamed production lines in China comes the elegantly named “Cute Mini Mushroomhead Style Capacitive Touch Screen Stylus” for $2.5. While you wouldn’t guess it from the description on the site, this thing is actually designed to fit in the 3.5mm audio port that you’ll find on most devices. At $2.5 a piece I thought I’d buy a few and it turns out that they are fairly nice for cheap OEM styli, being way more accurate and sensitive than similarly priced styli from the same site.

Exactly what the point of such a small stylus is I don’t quite know, and the reason I bought some were for potential DIY use. With these acting as the tips, you can basically make your own styli from existing pens and things like that – though you need to ensure that there’s some sort of conductive material connecting you to the stylus or it won’t work. As for the audio port functionality, I’d be a bit careful about forcing these aluminum plugs into any port like that.
