Good and EVOSoftware Updates

"Reasonable channels" report that Honeycomb is on the way for the HTC EVO View 4G

Honeycomb

Just two days after news spread that the French HTC Flyer was receiving an OTA update to Honeycomb, we have received word that the update for the HTC EVO View 4G tablet is indeed on its way, too.

According to some "reasonable channels" feeding information to Sprint Feed, our favorite 7-inch tablet should be getting the update sometime around the end of December or beginning of January. Sprint Feed is still classifying this as a rumor at this point, but this rumor makes sense – especially when considering that the Flyer and the View are essentially the same device, except for the radios. Additionally, Sprint Feed has built a good reputation for itself around getting good, insider information from Sprint before anyone else.

Of course, Honeycomb is now old news, considering the EVO 3D and EVO Design will be receiving official updates to Ice Cream Sandwich sometime around the beginning of 2012. But at least HTC and Sprint are keeping their promise.
