Anythingbutiphone Photosynth, Microsoft’s three-dimensional panorama app, has finally been released on Windows Phone. The app is very easy to use, and it allows you to share your panoramas on social networks, Photoshynth.net, and Bing Maps. Buddy Platform has also come out of beta, helping people develop apps for all sorts of platforms. Lastly, BlackBerry somehow managed to receive the title of “Coolest Brand Overall” in South Africa’s Generation Next Brand Survey Awards. Who saw that one coming?
Anythingbutipad The Windows 8 Release Preview is now available for download. This near-final version of Microsoft’s next big operating system represents a major developmental milestone. In addition to a wide variety of enhancements and bug fixes, the Release Preview includes a selection of new and improved Metro-style apps. Additional hardware requirements have also been uncovered. Amazon, meanwhile, has added a “clear furthest page read” option to its Kindle settings, taking the annoyance out of reading textbooks.
Anythingbutipod MP3 players come in all shapes and sizes, but one of the most unique form factors is a design student’s in-mouth contraption. Similar in shape to the retainer you probably wore when you were younger, the “Play-A-Grill” features tongue-based controls and plays music through vibrations in the skull. Innovative or insane? If you’re into a more traditional form of entertainment, JetAudio Player is now available on Android, lending the platform its trademark sound enhancements.
Good and EVO Even though the HTC EVO 4G LTE was only officially released last Saturday, we’ve already got quite a few mods for you to try out, including custom recoveries, an advanced power menu mod, and a particularly interesting hardware mod for those of you who are especially brave. There’s also still time to enter our Seidio ACTIVE case giveaway! But if you’re still sporting an EVO 3D, our latest ROM Pick is just for you.
