Blue HTC One coming to Best Buy stores on September 15

Blue HTC One 2

The “metallic blue” HTC One is real, and it’s coming to Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T starting September 15. This is according to an official press release from Best Buy, and comes on the heels of an earlier rumor that pegged the blue HTC One as a Sprint exclusive that would come to the nation’s third largest wireless provider on September 10.

Apparently the blue HTC One will only be available through Best Buy, either online or at the electronic retailer’s various store locations across the country. Shoppers will be able to trade-in their used devices for a Best Buy gift card worth up to $200, although most devices will net much less than this. Unfortunately, since Best Buy doesn’t resell T-Mobile service, these customers will be left out of the party for now.

In the UK, Carphone Warehouse has a similar exclusive on the device. Personally, I’m having trouble seeing what the big deal is about this particular color, but it’s causing a lot of people to salivate. Be sure to drop a line in the comments if you’re one of them!
