Deal alert: Google Play Store celebrates its second birthday with deals on apps, music, movies, and more
If you can believe it, it’s been two whole years since the Android Market was rebranded and relaunched as the Google Play Store. And to celebrate, Google is offering some deals on a small collection of apps, music, books, magazines, and movies. Unfortunately, though, this sale isn’t quite as awesome as some previous sales, one of which saw premium premium apps going for ten cents. Oh, well.
Some of the deals include:
- The Dark Knight Rises film for $6.99
- Cupcake Wars Season 7 for $0.99
- 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ album for $3.99
- Icona Pop’s I Love It single for free
- The Cat in the Hat app for $0.99
There are other deals in books, music, magazines, movies, and more – but these are just the ones that stuck out right away to me. Even though I’m not as blown away by this sale as some of Google’s previous sales, you’ll probably find something that piques your interest, too.
