Porn site reporting 90% traffic during 9-5, new daily grind
Press release in my inbox today indicates that 90% of one porn site’s daily active users are now watching live (probably) porn streams during the work day.
Whether that means people are on the clock getting off, of they’re off the clock due to quarantine/social distancing/work shutdown is not listed. So for all the data we have been presented it’s just that the hours changed from after work to during work hours for those time zones.
However, reporting being what it is these days I’m betting we’ll see some national headlines claiming your customer service rep is probably servicing themselves while taking your information.
However if your coworkers seem really really interested in the particular Zoom meeting you’re on, you might want to ask them some questions about their grandma’s health, how’s that boil coming along? Etc.
The press release also mentions that in some instances remote workers are working as cam girls for extra income, but provides no data.
It will be interesting to see post pandemic if we can get how many people accidentally shared their screens in Zoom and got HR involved.
