More evidence suggests that the HTC EVO Design 4G is on its way

Gameloft-screenshot

A few weeks ago, we told you about a new leak that seemed to confirm that Sprint's version of the HTC Kingdom would we released as the HTC EVO Design 4G. We now have further evidence that a device of this name is headed towards Sprint, as the above screenshot from Gameloft clearly demonstrates.

It's not uncommon for companies to accidentally leak privy information like this, and Gameloft seems to have corrected its error, as the EVO Design 4G is no longer appearing on the site.

To be honest, I'm not too excited about this, as it seems to be only a mid-range device that will likely take the place of the EVO Shift 4G – a phone we don't even regularly cover here on G&E. In any case, it seems like it will offer some substantial improvements over the Shift, including qHD resolution on a 4-inch screen and dual cameras. Of course, it will also offer WiFi n support, 720p video recording, and a WiMAX radio.

We will continue to keep our eyes on this device, as we are always interested in new members of the HTC EVO family. Let's just hope it turns out to live up to the EVO name!

Does anybody know if Sprint will get the iPhone anytime soon? I like Android and HTC but I just want to try out an iPhone.

  • They are supposed to get one this fall/winter but your on the wrong site for that kind of info. No offense but Htc lovers aren’t too keen on Apple products especially since Apple is suing almost every major Android manufacturer including Htc.

Now lets talk about the EVO Design. If this is the replacment for the EVO 4G then they have taken a step sidways & 5 back. I can see how they might drop the kickstand but replacing the 8mp camera with the 5mp too & not making any real improvements with a smaller screen, your just slapping the EVO name on a random phone. Not gunna work. As a EVO Shift replacment it’s fine.

What you guys want is a EVO 4G+ Extreme. Beautiful 8mp camera, kickstand, Classic red & black, Dual-Snapdragon 1.2 GHz Proccessors, Magnificent Large Crystal Clear screen, 1GB Ram & Internal Storage up to 64gb MicroSD with 4G LTE & WiMax support. For starters…

But this will not be anytime soon because that will compete with the EVO 3D. Which has abit more time left in it before sales go down. And the LTE will take time to adapt.
