Nintendo recalls DS & DS Lite power adapters

If you have a Nintendo DS and/or DS Lite, stop what you’re doing and check your power adapter. If it looks like the one on the left (marked with JRC), pick up the phone and call Japan-based Yamato Transport Company toll free at 0120-210-557 to exchange it.

Nintendo Japan announced today that it is recalling 200,000 power adapters because the power cable, when plugged in, could heat up to the point of becoming a fire hazard. The potentially dangerous adapters were included with consoles shipped from January 2006 (DS) and July 2006 (DS Lite).

My DS was imported from Japan in 2005 and is marked with the middle "M" symbol, so I don’t know if certain brandings are exclusive to certain years or shipments.
