SFR M! PC Pocket (Compal/Aigo MID) caught on video booting Android

Sfr_mid_android

So apparently there's been a rumor going around in France that French carrier SFR is working on an Android version of its Atom-powered M! PC Pocket, a variant of the Aigo P8860 and the rest of the Compal-manufactured gang.

Whether the OS would be running on the same 800MHz Intel Atom Z500 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB SSD, and hardware as the first-gen M! PC Pocket is unknown, but a new video (below) showing the original slider booting Android on its 4.3-inch WVGA screen indicates that keeping things the way they are would, in fact, be just fine.

Of course, just because a system can boot an OS doesn't automatically mean that it can actually run it well, but it's not like we haven't heard about Android and Atom getting all chummy before.
