Future HTC phones might be PlayStation certified

Playstation-logoIf we are to believe the latest rumor, which is said to come from reliable sources, some new HTC devices in 2012 will be PlayStation certified – in other words, these would be the only phones other than those produced by Sony to have this distinction. This also means that HTC will be able to offer end users access to exclusive PlayStation games, like Crash Bandicoot, which is something other manufacturers like Samsung or Motorola won't be able to do.

If true, this could be announced very soon at Mobile World Congress later this month.

It seems like HTC is really gearing up for a stellar year. This, combined with Beats Audio, and a renewed focus on making fewer but better devices, only bodes well for a future HTC EVO, whatever that might ultimately be.

So what do you think? Does the prospect of being able to play PlayStation games on a future HTC device give you a renewed hope for the phone manufacturer?
