HTC One finally landing on Sprint and AT&T on April 19, with preorders starting this week

HTC One small - for some reason we don't have an alt tag hereThe HTC One, which has been plagued by delays and supply problems, finally has an official US launch date: barring any more unforeseen difficulties, it will arrive on Sprint and AT&T on April 19. Additionally, Sprint customers will be able to preorder the device on April 5 at sprint.com/htcone, while AT&T customers will actually be able to get their preorders in a day earlier, starting on April 4 at 1:00 p.m. central time (att.com/htcone).

As we discovered yesterday, Sprint customers will be restricted to the 32GB version of the HTC One, with an on-contract price of $199.99. AT&T customers will get to choose between 32GB for $199.99 ($50 cheaper than what we thought yesterday) and 64GB for $299.99. Additionally, AT&T customers will get a free  HTC Media Link HD wireless HDMI adaptor, which normally retails for $90.

As of publication, there’s no word yet on when T-Mobile’s preorders will start, but most likely the carrier will follow the same schedule as Sprint and AT&T.

[Sprint | AT&T] Thanks, Simon!

This is a nice looking phone, although a bit iPhoneish for my taste, but is the developer support going to be better than the LTE???

follow up: I would think that it would due to the fact that they are finally releasing the same device across all carriers but I am just skeptical of new HTC devices at this point.

Limited to 32gb? Really sprint….so I have to use the clouds cause 32 gigs is a drag 64 would have been bearable hence no sd card….who is in charge? I mean cant they just work to get it right. Why is sprint, HTC just wanting to fail. They make no SENSE…..give people what they want and you wouldn’t be crying or putting ur job on the line if the device fails….Shaq really needs to facepalm one of these clowns…..fail

No problem for the tip. My wife may be interested in the HTC One, as her upgrade is swiftly approaching.

What is with all the people decrying the 32GB only option as Sprint’s fault? HTC probably accepted a huge amount of money from AT&T so they could get the exclusive 64GB capacity. It’s not Sprint’s fault in this case, but HTC’s. Besides, maybe in a month or two the exclusive deal will lift and Sprint will get a 64GB model.

  • I love sprint and will never ever ever go back to at&t. Definitely not over a phone. I had plans to get the HTC One, but as my reason for loving sprint (unlimited data) and android (open is) is they give me freedom. I can’t limit my self. I for one have loved HTC as far back as the overseas HTC HD that I paid $650 for on eBay years ago as I could see the future. I have worked at radioshack for over 8 years and have used a lot of cell phones always finding may way back to android, but not just android, but HTC. EVEN when I was at the radioshack summit at the Gaylord Texas hotel and tried to show off my HTC HD to the HTC booth and the guy and the guy there didn’t even know what phone it was and said, who would ever want a screen that big (3.8). So look here HTC how would ever want that much memory (64gb) and up. every ONE. Is that not what the ONE was supposed to stand for. Matsudo Matthew grant the only ONE in the U.S.A signing out HTC. The Galaxy is endless……..thanks matsudo

It seems so. For this generation at least, HTC is trying to unify its branding under one umbrella.

Ultimately, it’s better for HTC that way. People can recognize their devices no matter the carrier, which helps with brand recognition and sales.

  • I wonder how much of the 32GB is actually going to be usable memory.

  • 32gb on my LTE is nearly full.

Question is will we see an EVO this summer?

I am perfectly happy with my LTE and just wish it had more ram and cpu. Camera is awesome, camera button is awesome-er, kickstand oh yeah, sd card only way to get by on sprint.
The one…. I like the stereo speakers, ir port, and 1080p. Other than that it’s a no-no for me.

I really hope the LTE is not the last EVO.

  • Like a few others here I’m wondering about the future of EVO? I’d wait a few months if there is a variant of the ONE with a kick stand, a slot for memory, Etc.

    HTC…WTF?
I just read (At another site) that they are releasing a version of this device in China with a memory card slot.
Think about that…those of you who think we don’t need memory cards. China needs them, and got them.
    Peace

  • Done deal HTC, I’ve had my Evo 3D for two years and the 32 GB SD card I have in it has been more than enough for me (Have about 5GB free with a lot of older videos / music that could go – at least 10 gigs worth).

Beautiful phone, I’ll put my preorder in on the 5th. I’m going to miss WiMax until Sprint gets LTE in Denver, but considering how often I’m on WiFi I can live with the slower speeds elsewhere.

Yeah. Heck, I’ve gotten along fine with a 16GB microSD card in my EVO 3D.

It’s not even half full. Hahaha.

I too am going to jump on the HTC One pre order tomorrow. I’ve had they EVO 3d for 2 years now. Besides some touch screen issues, the phone has been pretty reliable and ive gotten by using the standard sd card and cloud services (50GB on Box and Got Dropbox to 10GB) I really did not save any music on my phone, it was mainly photos and a few videos, and the backup of the current Rom i am on. I think having 32 GB would more than enough.
