New 100GB Kohjinsha handtops

Whoever’s in charge of handing out model numbers at Kohjinsha is definitely unhappy with the English alphabet. I suspected this to be the case when the 80GB white SA1F00D handtop was released after the SA1F00A and SA1F00B, but now I’m completely convinced: somebody hates the letters C, F, and G.

Prowling the Kohjinsha website tonight for information about the rumored touchscreen model, I found these instead: the platinum white SA1FooE and the premium black SA1F00H.

Both models start at just $832 and feature a whopping 100GB hard drive, making them the UMPCs/handtops with the highest storage capacity currently on the market. Aside from the bump in storage (previous models maxed out at 80GB), nothing deviates from the SA series’ standard set of specs: Windows XP Home, AMD Geode LX800 CPU, up to 1GB of RAM, LED-backlit 7" TFT display (800 x 480), etc. I don’t know whether the company ships to the U.S., but their online store is worth a look. Cute shopping cart animation, anyway.
