StreakDroid 1.5 custom ROM for Dell Streak includes Gingerbread goodies
The MVP in Dell Streak development, DJ_Steve, has once again outdone himself with his StreakDroid custom Froyo ROM.
Version 1.5 was released over the weekend, and it's definitely the best one yet. In addition to being what Steve describes as "pretty much 100% stable," the new build fixes many of the issues from previous versions and adds some fresh-from-the-oven goodies from Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Both the Gingerbread keyboard and updated Android Market are baked right into StreakDroid 1.5, as is the Miren Browser (unrelated to Gingerbread).
There are two builds for this version: one for those using a Rebel Sim card and one for anyone with a baseband from the official Dell Froyo build for unlocked Streaks or at least version 1.2 of StreakDroid.
If you've got 1.4.6 on your device, then you can flash 1.5—available from the link below—right over it via ClockworkMod (video tutorial here), which is what I did a few days ago. What about you?
